Crumble and Rise has been in the works for a while. Due to label and member changes, the album was on the back burner while they worked on fortifying the band. Hellaphant released the Crumble EP (produced by Siegfreid Meier) to introduce their music to the world. When it came time to record the full album, the band chose to work at Sugar Shack studios in London, ON with Simon Larochette at the helm. The album was mastered by Harry Hess (H Bomb mastering). Crumble and Rise is a look into heart break and mental health issues bundled up in catchy pop melodies. It has been described as "your favourite bubble gum laced with rocks and broken glass."
Crumble ad Rise is an energetic ride, both musically and emotionally. Loud guitars, heavy beats and pop melodies will help remind you of a musical style you loved but never heard before.
Shot and edited by Chris Forrest in London Ontario. It was all shot in Chris's friend Shawn's garage.
The song is a direct response to mental health issues. Living in in ones head. Destroying your happiness and all that good stuff.
This is our video for the song "Maybe Pain". Shot and directed in London, ON by Chris Forrest. We gave Chris an idea and he ran with it. Thanks to Taylor for pulling off the part so well.
